500 Pompey Words              Story writing competition for 7 – 14 year olds

             Could you write a winning story about the amazing objects you discover at Portsmouth Museum in our latest exhibition, A Hard Choice?

            Enter our 500 Pompey Words competition and you could win £30 in book tokens for yourself and have your story displayed at Portsmouth Museum.  You could also win a         fun workshop with a writer for your school, home education group or out-of-school club.
 
            The competition is open to children and young people aged 7 to 14, in Years 3 to 9 at school and who live in Portsmouth.
 
            The closing date for entries is Tuesday 30th June 2015 at 12noon.

           There are over 100 objects on show in A Hard Choice, including paintings and drawings, taxidermied birds and animals, furniture, glass, pottery, a mousetrap, an eel spear      and a Second World War bomb.
 
            Get yourself in a tale-telling mood by picking up a self-led gallery trail for A Hard Choice – available from the Portsmouth Museum reception desk for just 50p.
