We are publishing a small anthology of creative writing to celebrate Aoife Mannix’s residency at the Portsmouth Museum. The deadline for submissions is July 20th. All types of creative writing are welcome including poetry and stories as long as they are in some way inspired by the exhibition ‘A Hard Choice.’ There is no word limit though we are suggesting five hundred words as a guideline. Please be aware that as space is limited, we may be including edited extracts rather than complete pieces.
If you have attended any of Aoife’s writing workshops, you are welcome to submit pieces that you wrote during the workshop and/or other work. You can also submit if you haven’t been able to attend the workshops but have written something inspired by the exhibition. There is no limit to the amount of submissions you can make as long as they have a connection to ‘A Hard Choice’.
The anthology will be launched at a celebratory event at Portsmouth Museum on Friday 11 September, 5 – 6.30pm. All those whose work is accepted for the anthology will receive a free copy, either at the celebration or by post after the launch.
Email your submissions to Tracy.Teasdale@portsmouthcc.gov.uk by July 20th.
